On the first Saturday of the month, join the Staten Island Museum to find inspiration from the objects in the Museum’s collection! These imaginative workshops explore a wide variety of materials while building skills in art making.

Join artist Jenya Frid to explore this unique craft using common materials found around the home. The art of paper quilling involves using of thin strips of paper which are rolled, shaped and glued together to create decorative designs.

• Thin paper, any kind. Suggestions include: magazine paper, construction paper, printer paper
• Cardstock/cardboard. Suggestions include: the back of a cereal box, manila folder
• Rolling Tool. Suggestion: end of a thin paintbrush, skewer, knitting needle
• Glue. Suggestion: glue stick or school glue such as Elmer’s
